Lelia Sandage

Lelia Elaine Sandage was born in Rose Bud, Arkansas on January 19, 1923. She died in Little Rock on Sunday, November 11, 2012. Her mother, father, seven brothers, and three sisters preceded her in death. Her husband, Carl Sandage, also preceded her in death. She is survived by sons Jimmie Sparrow and his wife June, Richard Sparrow and his wife Joy, and daughter Bertha Evans and her husband Leon. Three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive her.
Lelia was a strong woman. She was good and kind and an exceptional cook. She worked two jobs to raise her three children. She spent the last two years of her life at Valley Ranch Nursing Center where she was happy helping others there. May she rest in eternal peace.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 14, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street NLR, AR. Graveside service and burial will follow at 2:30 p.m., at Old Salem Cemetery at Primitive Baptist Church in Gravesville, Arkansas. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
