Leonard E. Stevens, "Skeeter" 80, of Beebe, Arkansas was born August 14, 1928 at Haggerstown, Maryland, to George and Rena Viola Emory Stevens, and he died Wednesday, March 25, 2009.
He lived, worked and retired in Little Rock, then moved to Missouri. In his younger years, he was a jockey, and was a lifetime member of Pipe Fitters Union Local No. 155. He retired from Cleveland in Little Rock. Leonard was a very loving, caring father and husband who provided care for his wives, Bettie King Stevens (the mother of his children) and Margie Calahan, who both preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death are his parents and stepfather, Richard Carbaugh.
He is survived by his daughter, Verna Walker and husband Charles of Beebe; and his son, Leonard N. Stevens and wife Barbara of Missouri.
Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2009, at Valley Cemetery, Bismarck, Arkansas.
