Leroy V. Nelson, 90, of Little Rock passed away on January 18, 2013. He was born in Topeka, Kansas on October 21, 1922 to Gusatvas A. and Linda H. (Leibold) Nelson. He was a graduate of Arkansas Tech in Russellville, AR and The University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR and a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He was also a Veteran of WWII. On September 1947, he married Annette Avery Anderson. He has been a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church since 1955. He worked for Cooks Paint and Varnish Company for over 40 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Annette Avery Denton; son, Leroy V. Nelson, Jr; grandchildren, Amanda Seipel, Elizabeth Kirshner, Shawn Nelson Brown, Meredith Nelson Metz, Victor Graham Nelson, Jason Denton and Tyler Denton and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annette Avery Nelson and his parents.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, January 23 at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, AR. A reception will follow at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 22.
