Leslie Neil McKay, age 90, of Bismarck, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016 in Arkadelphia. He was born May 7, 1925 to the late Hugh Archie and Gladys Serene Asleson McKay. He was a retired Civil Engineer and a former partner with Missman & Stanley Associates in Rock Island, Illinois. Mr. McKay was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Arkadelphia First Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Marie Nelson McKay; a daughter-in-law, Kelly Palmer McKay and one sister, Burnette Nicholson.
Survivors are his children, Barry and wife, Carla McKay of Bismarck, Carey Smysor of Davenport, Iowa, Jamie and husband, Bob Curtis of Arlington, Texas, Frankie and wife, Tammy McKay of Davenport, Iowa, Jeffrey McKay of Port Byron, Illinois, Randy and wife, Tara McKay of Port Byron, Illinois; fifteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 1-3 pm Sunday, May 8th at the Runge Mortuary in Davenport, Iowa.
Graveside services with military honors will be at 10:00 am Monday, May 9th at the Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island, Illinois by Runge Mortuary.
Memorials may be made to Arkadelphia First Presbyterian Church, 1220 Pine St. Arkadelphia, AR. 71923.
