Lester McGowan, 42, of Little Rock passed away Saturday, June 20, 2009. He was born in Heber Springs on December 2, 1966 to Myrtle E. McGowan and the late Leslie McGowan.
He is survived by five sisters, Carol Murrell and husband, Carey, of Burlington, North Carolina, Leslie McGowan Foulke and husband, Richard, of Little Rock, Wanda Adams, Juanita Palmer, both of Searcy and Oleda Matt, of Zachary, Louisiana; two brothers, Johnny Dillard, of Eminence, Missouri and L.M. McGowan, of Little Rock; and fianc, Jeanette Keating, of Heber Springs. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Layla Michelle McGowan; and three sisters, Shirley Haynes, Sharon Dacus and Carolyn Roland.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Crossroads South Cemetery in Hopewell near Rose Bud, Arkansas. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
