Lester Floyd Reppond

Lester Floyd Reppond, age 91, of Mayflower, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, at a hospice house. He was born on September 17, 1934, in Warren, Arkansas, to George Floyd Reppond and Fairy Estelle Hughes.

Lester was a quiet, gentle man with a kind heart. He was known as a hard worker, an excellent provider, and someone who would do anything for the people he loved. Those who knew him best will remember his calm nature and kindness.

He proudly served in the Arkansas National Guard for 10 years. Lester spent his working years employed at Timex Corporation, where he worked from the age of 16 until his retirement. During his life’s journey, he met the love of his life, Joan Elizabeth Zajac. Their love grew into a marriage that lasted 46 years, until her passing in September 2025. Together, they built a life rooted in love and companionship.

In his younger years, Lester enjoyed hunting. He and Joan shared many simple joys—fishing, gardening, and spending time together. He also enjoyed going to the casinos with family, especially when luck was on their side.

Lester was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joan, and his daughter, Sharon.

He is survived by his son, Gregory Reppond of North Little Rock, Arkansas; his daughter, Debbie Smith (Joey) of Benton, Arkansas; his sister, Betty Price of Cabot, Arkansas; numerous grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

 A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, officiated by Jodie McGinley, Celebrant. Burial will follow. A reception will not be held.
