Lester Wade

Lester T. Wade, age 94, of Arkadelphia passed away Monday, December 12, 2005. He was born in Free Hill (Hot Spring County), Arkansas, on June 15, 1911. He was a licensed minister with the United Pentecostal Church International. He and his wife built and pastored churches in South Arkansas for over 25 years. He was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Arkadelphia. He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys Strother Wade, a daughter Bobbie Jean Ferguson, and a son Sammy Joe Wade.


He is survived by a daughter, Dianne Evans of Little Rock, 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren, many other family and friends.


Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, Dec. 16, 2005 in Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel . Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
