Lewis Ballard

Lewis Doyle Ballard, 74, of Beebe, Arkansas, was born November 1, 1934, at Newport, Arkansas, to Lewis Green and Muriel Sills Ballard, and he died Monday, January 12, 2009. He was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his father, one brother, Derald and one grandson, Stephen Colby. He is survived by his wife, Sylveen Mills Ballard; one son, Steve Ballard and wife Tammy of Beebe; one daughter, Gale Strafaci and husband Jack of Antioch; his mother, Muriel Ballard Kelley of Beebe; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Carthel and wife Katherine of Beebe, Don and wife Reba of Beebe, and Gerald and wife Billie of Floyd; three sisters, Doris Hill of Beebe, Charlotte Powell and husband Harley of Jacksonville and Wilma Perry and husband Russell of Beebe. "Uncle Doyle" will be dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews and a host of family, friends and neighbors.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 15, 2009, at Beebe First Assembly of God, with burial in Sylvania Cemetery.
