Lewis C. "Lew" Short

Lewis C. “Lew” Short, 80, of Little Rock, passed away December 28, 2022. Lew was the head of the Photography Department at Channel 4 for 55 years, where he earned The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Gold Circle Award. He loved playing golf and was a member of Whispering Pines and Western Hills Golf Courses, and was a current member of the Camp Robinson Golf Course.  Lew was a member of the Family Church at Bryant.

Lew is survived by his wife of 58 years, Merridth Lynn Evans Short; daughter, Donna Lauderdale (Dan); grandchildren, Hunter Lauderdale (Maranda) and Makena Lauderdale; two great-grandchildren, Liam and Layton Lauderdale; and other family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Blu and Della Mae Short.
