Lillian Chwalinski

Lillian Lienhart Chwalinski, 89, of Marche, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after complications from heart surgery.

Lillian was born on December 11, 1936, to Herman and Catherine Lienhart. She lived a life deeply rooted in her Catholic faith, family, and service to others. Her love for Jesus was evident to all who knew her, and she remained steadfast in her faith and spirituality until her very last days. Rarely was she without a rosary in her hands, and she found great comfort and strength in prayer throughout her life.

The presence of Christ could be felt when you were around Lillian. She radiated joy, warmth, and kindness to everyone she encountered. Blessed with a gift for conversation, she never met a stranger and had a remarkable way of making people feel welcomed, valued, and loved.

The saying, “To know her was to love her,” truly captured who Lillian was. Her gentle spirit, kind smile, and genuine love for others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to meet her. She had a special gift for making people feel like family, and her kindness touched many lives.

A lifelong parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Marche, Lillian faithfully served her parish community for many years. She was an active member of the Altar Society and Rosary Sodality and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was especially known for her willingness to serve, spending countless hours in the church kitchen preparing meals for Polish weddings and Karnawal celebrations. Her parish family held a special place in her heart, and she was dearly loved by the many friends she made there throughout the years.

Lillian was a dedicated and hardworking woman throughout her life. She retired from Timex after many years of service and later continued working for an additional 15 years at the Camp Robinson Professional Education Center in the dining facility. She took pride in her work and enjoyed the friendships she made along the way.

Lillian found great joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved traveling to the casinos with her girlfriends, attending family reunions, and spending precious time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a great cook, enjoyed tending her garden, and could often be found attending bluegrass festivals with family and friends.

She was also an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching football, basketball, and rodeos. She especially loved cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Kansas City Chiefs. Whether gathered around the television with family or discussing the latest game with friends, she brought the same enthusiasm and joy to sports that she brought to every aspect of her life.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Catherine Lienhart; her beloved daughter, JoAnn Price; grandson, Camron; two brothers, Henry Lienhart and Herman Lienhart; and two sisters, Agnes Knittig and Catherine Seiter.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 69 years, Vincent Chwalinski, along with her loving children; David (Charlene), Charlie (Judy), Judy (Dan), Richard (Shelly): grandchildren; Matthew (Ashton), Aaron (Lauren), Brittney, McKenzie (Bo), Clayton, Carson, Zach (Jennifer), Eric (Kara), Tras & Cullen. Great grandchildren; Rylee, Hudson, Sophia, Kolter, Alan, Marissa and Hattie; many nieces and nephews whom she cherished dearly; extended family, and countless friends whose lives were touched by her tender heart.

Lillian will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her gentle spirit, her servant's heart, and the love she freely gave to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Though her family grieves her passing, they take comfort in knowing she has been welcomed into the loving arms of her Savior and reunited with those who have gone before her.

She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, joy, and devotion that will continue to live on through the generations of family and friends whose lives she touched.

A Rosary will be held Wednesday, July 29th 2026 from 10:30am-11:00am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 7006 Jasna Gora Dr, North Little Rock, AR 72118.
