Lillie Roberson Langley, 96 died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005, at the Montgomery County Nursing Home in Mt. Ida, AR. She was born September 24, 1909, in Gurdon the daughter of the late David and Margaret Roberson. She and her husband, Norman Lee Langley, owned and operated Langley's News Stand and Sporting Goods in Arkadelphia for 20 years. After his death in 1965, she continued the business until her retirement in 1970. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Arkadelphia for 68 years, where she served in several capacities.
Survivors include one son, David Lee Langley of Mt. Ida; one daughter and son-in-law, Norma Jean and Jim Lide of Arkadelphia.
A private graveside service was held Dec. 6, 2005 in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to a church or charity of choice or to the Montgomery County Nursing Home Auxiliary, PO Box 1208, Mt. Ida, AR 71957.
