Linda Arlene Raines Dumont

Linda Arlene Raines Dumont, age 86, of Norman went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.

She was born in Oak Grove on April 21, 1940. Linda was the daughter of Leslie Raines and Ira Wilson Raines. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Rachel Melinda Dumont; her brother, Paul Raines; her nephew, Chris Raines; and her niece, Paula Boyce.

Linda married the love of her life, Douglas, on August 2, 1963. She graduated from Norman High School in 1958. She was a member at Norman First Baptist Church where she loved teaching Sunday School, working with Girls in Actions, and supporting missions. She loved sending cards and visiting shut-ins. Linda had a giving heart and donated to many charities including, Arkansas Baptist Children's Home, St. Jude, the Shriners Children's Hospital, and Arkansas Children's Hospital. She always put everyone before herself. Linda was a loving wife, mother, granny, and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Douglas Dumont of Norman; her two children and their spouses, Leslie and Joseph Flurry of Camden and James and Jennifer Dumont of Glenwood; her two grandchildren, Rachel and Colton Goss of Mount Ida and Tate Dumont of Glenwood; her sister-in-law, Ann Tidwell; her two nieces, Marla Upshaw and Karen McCoy; her great-niece, Jillian Upshaw; and her special friend, Theresa Shellstead.

Pallbearers will be Tate Dumont, Colton Goss, Joseph Flurry, Rodney Standridge, David McCarter, and Beau Graves.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at the Homewood Cottages in Mena.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to Linda's favorite charities, Arkansas Baptist Children's Home, St. Jude Hospital, The Shriners Children's Hospital, and Arkansas Children's Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel- Glenwood with Bro. Don Robbins officiating.

Visitation will be held an hour prior on Thursday, October 1, 2026 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel- Glenwood.
