Linda Godwin

Linda Carol Godwin, age 67, of Royal, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022.

She was born on December 19, 1954, in Maracabio, Venezuela, the daughter of Horatio Jackson and Grace Villar Jackson.  On November 4, 2000, she married Mark Godwin.  She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew Carlis Loy III.

Linda was a loving soul and made friends everywhere she went. She was a member of New Home Missionary Baptist Church. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, music, and dancing.  She loved tending to her flower garden.  She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many whom we all will greatly miss.

She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Mark Godwin; two children and their spouses, Keith and Lisa Foley, Robin, and Brad Edwards; seven grandchildren; Jeremy Foley, Lathan Edwards, Christian Edwards, Brent Edwards, Seth Edwards, Isabella Edwards, and Elijah Foley. As well and extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Visitation will be held from 1:00PM-2:00PM in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel Saturday September 17, 2022.
