Listen to Obituary

Our beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, Linda Golden, passed away peacefully on June 5th, 2026. Linda was a gift from God. She loved God, her family, and her church with all her soul, strength, and mind. Linda’s smile and joy in the Lord was inspirational and contagious to those around her, and she spent her life selflessly serving others. She took no credit for accomplishments in this life, but gave all the glory to God and her savior, Jesus Christ. Linda loved caring for her family, reading, and creating opportunities for women of all ages to grow their faith in Jesus Christ through teaching and coordinating women’s Bible workshops. While her heart belonged to God and His service, she passionately loved her family and cherished every moment with them. As her husband, sons, sister, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends, we were blessed beyond measure for being given the opportunity to share in her love.

Linda was born in Portageville, Missouri, on November 19, 1938. She is survived by her husband Charles, sons Dave and Paul, and sister Jo Allen. Charles and Linda’s youngest son, Matthew, preceded Linda to their home in heaven at the age of 21. Linda was also preceded in passing by her parents, Hugh and Aleene Bumpus, brothers Carl and Jim, and sister Betty. Her second sister, Jo Allen, lives in Arizona. Linda has five grandchildren – Kaley, Jake, Brandon, Jared, and Julia. She was also blessed with three great-grandchildren – Walker, Cooper, and Harper.

As Linda’s family, we want to recognize the incredible doctors, nurses, and staff of the Little Rock, Arkansas Heart Hospital, who cared for her under the leadership of Dr. Drew Hinson. They cared for Linda as if she were their own mother. We will be forever grateful for their support, kindness, encouragement, and professionalism. They are a living example of what our nation's healthcare system should aspire to be.

Pallbearers will be Jake Golden, Jared Golden, Brandon Golden, Rick Miller, Stanley Beck, and Jeff Leonard.
