Listen to Obituary

With heavy hearts and profound respect, we announce the passing of Linda Joy Hathcock, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Born on July 18, 1953, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, Linda gracefully traversed the chapters of her life until her departure from this world on October 20, 2025, in Friendship, Arkansas.

Linda's journey was marked by the love she generously shared, first and foremost with her husband of 53 years, Randy Hathcock, who stood steadfast by her side. Together, they cultivated a home filled with warmth and affection, a sanctuary that welcomed family and friends alike. She was a devoted mother to her daughters, Shelly Davis and Heather Gilmer, who carried forward her legacy of love and compassion. The deep bonds with her grandchildren — Dakota (Keeley) Davis, Caleb (Karley) Davis, Maci (Hayden) Burris, Georgia Davis, Sophia Davis, and Tatum Gilmer — brought her immeasurable joy, illuminating her days with laughter and cherished moments.

As a grandmother, Linda’s heart expanded further to embrace her great-grandchildren: Arrow Davis, Thiri Burris, Millie Davis, Hack Burris, and Case Ray Davis. She was also "Nana" to Kyrsten Gilmer, Kelyn Gilmer, Rustin Powell and Cheyenne Davis. Each smile, each moment shared was a testament to a life lived rich in connection and meaningful relationships. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support were tremendous gifts to them, fostering a legacy that will endure through generations.

Linda’s siblings, sisters Mary (Alan) Cansler, Gail (James) Summerville, and Carol Wilson, hold within their hearts the fond memories of a sister whose laughter and kindness echoed in their lives, creating sentiments of unity that will forever bind them together.

Though her time was cut short, she is reunited in eternal rest with her beloved parents, Wallace Hubbard and Isabelle Hubbard, who welcomed her with open arms. Their love and guidance shaped Linda into the remarkable woman she became.

A funeral service honoring Linda will take place on October 23, 2025, at Caney Baptist Church in Bismarck, Arkansas, starting at 10:00 AM, with a burial to follow at Caney Cemetery. In this solemn space, family and friends will gather to pay tribute to a life that encompassed love, laughter, and relentless kindness.

Pallbearers are Tatum Gilmer, Ryan Gilmer, Hayden Burris, Caleb Davis, Dakota Davis and Eric Davis.  Honorary Pallbearer is Kelyn Gilmer.

Linda Joy Hathcock was a radiant light whose spirit will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known her. She shall be dearly missed and forever remembered in the hearts of her loved ones, an enduring presence that transcends the boundaries of this life.
