Linda Jeffcoat, affectionately known as “Nonie,” passed away on October 26, 2025, at the age of 78. Born to John Henry and Mary Evelyn Frawley on June 22, 1947, in Little Rock, Arkansas, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose love for her family was the center of her life.
From a young age, Linda dreamed of being a homemaker, and she fulfilled that dream beautifully. Her home was always full of laughter, warmth, and, most of all, children. Whether they were her own, her grandchildren, or the neighborhood kids who found their way to “Nonie’s house,” she welcomed them all with open arms. Her gentle spirit and caring heart made every child feel seen, loved, and safe.
Linda was the heart and soul of her family. She had a special way of keeping everyone connected, ensuring no one ever felt too far apart. She was famous for knowing exactly what was going on with everyone and could find anyone, anywhere, a gift that kept her family close and in touch, no matter the distance.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Linda loved taking pictures and capturing the everyday moments that became treasured memories. She loved to travel but was happiest near the ocean, where the sound of the waves brought her peace. She also adored her Coca-Cola, and nothing made her smile quite like baking monkey bread with her grandchildren during their overnight visits.
Linda shared a beautiful love story with her husband, Richard Jeffcoat. Married for 60 years, they were as deeply in love on the day she passed as they were the day they first met. Their marriage was a shining example of devotion, laughter, and unwavering commitment; a bond that inspired everyone who knew them.
Linda is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 60 years, Richard Jeffcoat; her sons Rick Jeffcoat, Randy (Connie) Jeffcoat, and Rodney (Sandy) Jeffcoat; and her beloved grandchildren Clara (Dalton) Garner, Madalyn (Baylee) Berry, Marybeth Jeffcoat (Curtis Crowder), and Josi (Reagan) Pyron. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Paisley, Lainee, and Ryder, with three more blessings soon to arrive. She also leaves behind her niece, Carrie, her nephew, John, and many dear family members and friends who will miss her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, John Henry Frawley, and her daughter-in-love, Carrie Jeffcoat.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Smith Family Funeral Home in Benton, located at 322 N. Market Street. A Funeral Service will follow on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the same location. Linda will be laid to rest at 12:00 p.m. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
The family would like to thank the Gentiva Hospice team for their compassionate care and support, which brought great comfort to Linda and her family.
In remembering Linda, let us celebrate a life marked by love, laughter, and devotion; a true matriarch whose home and heart were always open, and whose legacy of family, faith, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
