Linnie V Evans

Linnie V. Evans, age 85, of Murfreesboro, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 21, 2025.

She was born on December 16, 1939, in Rosboro. She was the daughter of Delmer Earl Rogers and Myrtle Marie Kizer Rogers. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hoyt Evans; her son, Dwayne Evans; and her brother, Richard Rodgers.

Linnie was a Christian in her faith. She worked many years at the Tyson Hatchery. She was a wonderful wife, mother, granny, sister, and friend and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She is survived by her two children, Darrell Evans of Murfreesboro and Becke and Bobby Miller of Nashville; her grandchildren, Tana and Larry Teague, Shelton and Danielle Miller, Sara and Brad Teague, and Shayla Miller; her great-grandchildren, Chloe, Cara, Jeremiah, Landon, Lyla, Lexie, Trent, Jase, Zane, Maddison, and Katie; her brother, Roy Rogers; her sister, Alice Shirley; her brother-in-law and his spouse, Kenneth and Lois Evans; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.

Visitation will be held prior to services on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home- Glenwood.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Coker Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brad Evans, Mike West, Lance Maxey, and Kevin Shirley.
