Logan Daniel Bussard was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on December 7, 1991. He passed from this life to his eternal home on Sunday, March 31, 2024 at the age of 32. Logan is survived by his mother, Alison Bussard; his father, Brian (Kenna) Bussard; his sister, Meagan (Kaylon) Buckley; his half-sister, Briar Bussard; his step-siblings: Justice Ombuya, Jailen Ombuya, Lyrick Ombuya, Legend Ombuya, Tommie Sheets, and Kennade Sheets; his grandparents: LaVerne Fletcher, Jon Bussard, and Nadine Bussard; his aunts and uncles: Angela (Mark) Stevens, Phil (Pam) Fletcher, Monte (Luisa) Bussard, Aaron (Diane) Bussard, Lisa (Dennis) Ellington, Pam Morgan, David (Christi) Brandon; his cousins: Joshua (Camille) Stevens, Jacob (Madeleine) Stevens, Carley Stevens, Dylan Fletcher, Delaney Fletcher, Christine Bussard, Flavilla (Jeff) Singleton, Jonathon (Jayme) Bussard, Morgan (Daniel) Reeves, Ashton Bussard, Amanda Gilbreath, Aaron Gilbreath, Caitlin (Zachary) Blackburn, Brynna Morgan, Adam Morgan, Rebecca (Adam) Maund, Jessica Brandon, Taylor Brandon; his nephew, Brooks Buckley; his niece, Blaire Buckley; his special friend, Sarah Baxter; his honorary brother Kyle Gorden; honorary sister Treell Gorden; their children Timber, Archer, and Creek; and a host of other family and friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Carrol Fletcher, and his grandmother, Christine Bussard.

Logan had the biggest heart. He loved his family and friends. He would do anything for anyone and was intentional with his actions and words. He loved playing cards, just being silly, and singing in the shower (usually very loudly).   He enjoyed the simpler things in life like being outside and staring at the stars. He enjoyed running and participated in several half marathons as well as one full marathon. He loved taking walks in the park with his dog Scout.

He was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan who was more often than not wearing some piece of Razorback attire. No matter the season, no matter the sport, Logan loved them all. Not only did he enjoy watching sports, he excelled as an athlete in multiple sports. From a very early age, he seemed to always have a ball in his hand and would toss it back and forth with anyone he could persuade to play with him.

His career involved working with the special needs community. First, as an educator in the North Little Rock School District then through the Departments of Parks and Recreation in Benton as an Activities Programmer and in Little Rock as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. He worked closely with the Miracle League of  Benton, Arkansas; starting the program in Benton. His goal was to always show love and value to that community so that they would feel empowered to live full lives.

He loved the Lord and was passionate about taking care of all God’s creation, wanting to leave it better than he found it. He participated in numerous mission trips both in the United States and abroad. While on these trips, whether it was painting houses, helping with hurricane relief, or interacting with the children, Logan always put his whole heart into it. He left a huge imprint on every life he touched. Logan loved deeply and was loved deeply. He had a smile that lit up a room. People were drawn to him due to his engaging personality, infectious laugh, and loving heart. Logan was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Logan’s name to the Arkansas Special Olympics.

Services will be on Saturday, April 13 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sylvan Hills Church of Christ.
