Lois Williams Brock, 84, of Alexander, passed away August 12, 2013. She was born in Kilmichael, Mississippi and was a member of Henderson United Methodist Church. After an almost lifetime of living in Memphis, Tennessee and Bridgetown, Mississippi, she moved to Little Rock in 2005. She immediately became a member of the Otter Creek Women's Club and remained a member even when she moved out of the neighborhood. Mom could make anything grow and delighted in the fact that she was a member of the MacArthur Garden Club in Little Rock, Whitehaven Garden Club in Memphis and the DeSoto Civic Garden Club in Hernando, Mississippi. At the age of 79, she won third place for creative design in the Arkansas State Flower Show. She was also a member of the American Daffodil Society and the American Hosta Society. At one time she had over 100 varieties of daffodils and 50 varieties of hostas.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan Wood (Sid) of Little Rock and Cindy Brock of Memphis, Tennessee; grandsons, Philip Wood (Manda) of Little Rock, Brian Wood (Blair) of Bentonville and Brock Kent of Memphis; and five great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Henderson United Methodist Church, 13000 West Baseline Road, Little Rock, 72210 at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 16, 2013.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to Valley Ranch Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and to Gentiva Hospice for their care and attention to Lolo.
