Lois Graves Poliquin, a woman who truly lived life to the fullest, was born on Sunday, December 29, 1940, at 3:30 a.m. at the C.E. Bates Ranch, between Norman and Mount Ida, Arkansas. She passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 1:05 a.m. in Cabot, Arkansas.
We celebrate a life that was truly lived to the fullest. A life defined by faith, boundless energy, deep friendships, and an overwhelming love for family.
First and foremost, Lois was a woman of profound faith. She loved Jesus with all her heart, and that love shined through her devotion to her church family. Her faith wasn't just something she practiced on Sundays; it was the foundation of who she was, guiding her steps and filling her with a spirit of joy.
Lois lived a life full of vibrant energy and rhythm. She loved the elegance and music of ballroom dancing, moving through life with grace and contagious enthusiasm. She was a traveler at heart, always ready for the next adventure, eager to see new places and experience everything the world had to offer.
Lois also knew the immense value of a good circle of friends. Whether she was out with her beloved Red Hat Girls, making memories and sharing laughs, or sitting around a table playing dominoes with her girls, Lois cherished her friendships. She knew that life was meant to be shared, and she surrounded herself with laughter, friendship, and sisterhood.
But as much as she loved her travels, her dancing, her games, and her wonderful friends, there was a love in her heart that stood above everything else. Above all, she loved her grandchildren. They were her absolute pride and joy, the bright lights of her life and her greatest treasure. The love she had for them was boundless, and the legacy of her warmth, laughter, and faith will live on through them forever.
Lois was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Graves; her mother, Ilene Graves (Beck); her sister, Tommie Sue Barger; and her nephew, Michael Adams.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Ana Luisa Poliquin, Phillip Poliquin and his spouse, Donna Poliquin, and Angel Harris; her grandchildren, Sara Harris, Olivia Harris and her spouse, Chris Wells, Kaleigh Harris, and Emi Poliquin; and her great-grandchildren, Lilian Harris, Grayson Wells, Liam Harris, Stella Wells, Billy Daniels, Wyatt Daniels, Forrest Wells, and Willow Harris. She is also survived by her sister, Norma Adams, and her niece and nephew, Tori Lindsey and Bryan Barger, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
Our family finds profound comfort in knowing she is peacefully resting at home with Jesus, dancing on the streets of gold. But we know her journey with us hasn't truly ended. She remains our fiercest protector and gentlest guide, watching over her beloved children and grandchildren from Heaven, just as she always did on earth. Her love is the steady whisper in the wind, the warmth in our memories, and the enduring light that will guide our family for generations to come.
We love you, Mom/Nana.
