Lois Treece

Lois Marie Treece, age 87 of Arkadelphia died Wednesday, March 08, 2006 at the Twin Rivers Health & Rehab. She was born Jan 11, 1919 in Valley Springs, AR the daughter of the late B.V. and Viola Keeter Moore. She and her husband owned and operated Treece's Texaco, where she was a bookkeeper. She was a charter member of the St. Andrew United Methodist church, where she was active W.S.C.S. She was also active in several volunteer positions, including Girl Scouts of America. She and her husband, Raymond who preceded her in death in 1995 were active in the Arkie Square Dance Club, the Tri Lake Rounders of Hot Springs and Baring Cross Baptist Church Keen-Agers.


Survivors include one son, Bob Treece and his wife, Sherry of Arkadelphia; three daughters, Caroll Baker and her husband, Thomas of Russellville, Betty Moss and her husband, Jim of Granbury, TX and Sue Burns and her husband, Tommy of West Memphis; one sister, Lillian Miller of Little Rock; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.


Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, March 10, 2006 at the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home with Rev. James Calhoun officiating. Interment will be in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the St. Andrew United Methodist Church 2301 Crawford ST, Arkadelphia, AR 71923.
