Lois Philyaw Yearby, age 89, of Plano, TX, formerly of Arkadelphia, died Thursday, February 15, 2007 at Presbyterian Hospital in Plano. She was born January 8, 1918 in Emad, LA the daughter of Thomas A. and Lucy Keblinger Philyaw. She was a graduate of Centenary College in Shreveport where she was a member of the Maroon Jackets. She was preceeded in death by her husband William Wayne Yearby. She was a retired secretary at Henderson State University and a Methodist.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas Wayne Yearby of Shreveport, LA, William Arthur Yearby of Allen, TX and four grandsons.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday, February 19 in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jessica Durand officiating.
Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Arkadelphia.
