Lola June Thomason, age 90, of Pearcy, peacefully left this earth to go be with JESUS on Tuesday, September 26, 2023.

June was born to Adrian and Edith Cox in Pearcy, on June 10, 1933.  The oldest of six children.  She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.  She was a Lake Hamilton High School Graduate, class of 1951. 

June was a faithful woman who loved her family.  She was a member of Hilltop Missionary Baptist Church.  She loved teaching children about Jesus and the Bible.  She enjoyed tending to her garden, crafting, sending cards to everyone she knew for any occasion you could think of, and of course road trips with her late husband Ray.

Survivors include four daughters and one son, Cecila Campbell of Hot Springs, Alfreda (Mark) Holloway of Newport, Janet Cockman of Hot Springs, Doug (Connie) Thomason of Hot Springs and Connie (Mike) Newman of Pearcy; ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by two sisters, Claudette Slapar and Judy Duett, and her wonderful in-home caregiver, Sandra Garrett.

June will be reunited with her parents; her loving husband of 71 years, Ray; her two brothers, Roy Cox and Benny Cox; and her sister, Thelma Gray.

Funeral services will be 2:00PM, Friday, September 29, 2023, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.

Interment will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6:00PM-8:00PM, Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Mike Newman, Jason Newman, Charles Abernathy, James Christman, Bradley Abernathy and Tyler Abernathy.
