Lorece Ethridge Evans age 88 died Tuesday, September 23, 2008 in Rockport, TX. She and her late husband Lee Roy Evans lived in Arkadelphia for many years but due to health issues, moved to Rockport to be near her daughter. Lorece was a member of Baring Cross Missionary Baptist Church where she was very active as a sponsor for the Missionary Baptist Student Fellowship.
Survivors include two sons, Rick Evans of Columbia, SC, and Jack Evans of Sulpher Springs, TX, one daughter, Rebecca Dunn of City By the Sea, TX, two sisters Jane Troxler of Columbus, GA and Sun Mann of Tyler, TX, one brother Dale Ethridge of Madison, WI, one sister-in-law, Margene McGuire of Arkadelphia, 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 A.M. Saturday, September 27, 2008 in Baring Cross Missionary Baptist Church with Brother James Calhoun officiating with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Donaldson. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Friday in Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home. Memorials made to Baring Cross Missionary Baptist Student Fellowship.
