Loretta Williams, 88, born July 17, 1937, went to be with Christ on June 17, 2026. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles “Buddy” Willams, and her son, Charles ”Ricky” Williams. She is survived by her daughter, Viginia Ann Walker (John); her sons, Darrell Williams (Kent), Richard Williams, Kenneth Wiliams (Jenna), and Robbie Williams (Jaclyn); her sister, Louise Dold; and 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, who all knew her as “Me-me.”
In life, Loretta was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, never one to shy away from watching all of her grandchildren at once. It was often a sight to see numerous kids running around her house in the summertime. Even in her retirement years, she happily watched her grandchildren, often stating “the kids keep me young.” Her Thanksgiving and Christmas meal traditions had to be witnessed to truly understand Loretta’s talent in the kitchen. She had a remarkable ability to keep all of her children and grandchildren happily eating her homemade rolls while she finished preparing dinner; and somehow still had enough food to send everyone home with more than they could eat.
Loretta was a devoted member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in North Little Rock for 60 years. Parishioners considered her a staple of Mass, attending faithfully in the very church her family was rooted and raised. When Loretta said she would pray for you, it was a safe bet that her prayer would be heard.
Loretta was always a friendly ear, willing to hear and help in any way she could, even if she just had some heavenly advice. That was almost always going to be the answer to the problem.
Rosary will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday June 24th at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel followed by the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church by mailing a check to 1516 Parker St. North Little Rock, AR 72114.
