Lorraine Willis, 82, of Bryant, Arkansas, peacefully passed away on January 8, 2026. Born to the late Eugene and Helen Piotrowski on September 15, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan, she lived a life shaped by creativity, faith, and devotion to her family.

She worked for ten years as a Sales Associate at Walmart, where she became a familiar and friendly presence to coworkers and customers alike. Lorraine took pride in her work and enjoyed the daily interactions that came with it.

Lorraine was a woman of many talents and interests, never afraid to try new things. She enjoyed a variety of creative pursuits, including crafting, painting, and decorating cakes. At one time, she even participated in a bowling league. Though she was often quiet and reserved when first meeting others, those who knew her well appreciated her lively spirit and unique personality. She found comfort in simple pleasures, like enjoying a Coke or sharing friendly moments with her neighbors at Courtyard Cottages.

Lorraine’s Christian faith was important to her throughout her life and remained close to her heart, even during times when she was unable to attend church regularly.

She is survived by her daughter, Christie Crolley (fiancé, Tarri Henderson); her grandchildren, Catrina Maxwell, Desiree Nelson, Nick Maxwell, and Andrew Maxwell (Kaitlin); nine great-grandchildren; and extended family and friends who will cherish her memory.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 65 years, James “Jim” Willis. Together, they shared a lifetime of love, commitment, and family. She is also preceded by her parents; her daughters, Lori Willis and Carrie Unterreiner; her granddaughter, Briana Maxwell; her sisters, Loretta Hart and Louise Sharp; and her son-in-law, Wayne Crolley.

A Visitation to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Smith Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, in Benton, Arkansas.
