Lt Col Louis Hughes, age 83 of North Little Rock, navigated his last flight on March 12, 2013 at 4:48 p.m. He was born on February 13, 1930 in Kaw City, Oklahoma and was raised in Holdenville.
Louis was a retired Lieutenant Colonel for the United States Air Force, having served thirty-four years, and a recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of twenty-three years, Janette Hughes of North Little Rock, and a host of family, extended family and friends.
Memorial Services with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 15, 2013 at Arkansas State Veterans' Cemetery at 1501 West Maryland, North Little Rock, Arkansas, under the direction of Huson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Veterans' Auxiliary at Central Arkansas Veterans' Healthcare Systems.
