Louis Ouzts

Louis Ouzts, Jr., 78, of North Little Rock, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013. He was born September 9, 1934 in North Little Rock, to Louis Ouzts, Sr. and Ruby Pierce Ouzts. He graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1952. Louis served his country in Korea with the United States Marines, worked for Western Electric-Lucent and retired from AT&T. He and his wife loved to travel and visited most of the 50 states and over 30 countries. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Crescent Lodge #403.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ruby Bukowski and Billy Jean McCoig. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley Floyd Ouzts; one son, Jeffrey Louis Ouzts (Jennifer), one daughter, Susan Renee Ouzts Broussard; two grandsons, Brian Gordon and Bailey Austin Broussard; and one granddaughter, Ashlee Renee Broussard; six sisters, Wilma Womack and Louise Schoemaker of Little Rock, Willie James of Jacksonville, Bessie Aunspaugh of North Little Rock, Sandra Davis of Salem and Janis Feathers of Hensley.
The family extends a special thanks to Dr. Nancy Rector and Baptist Hospice especially Mary Hicks.
Memorials may be made to Joel Osteen Television Ministry or Friendly Chapel Church of the Nazarene.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Paul Holderfield. Burial will be in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
