Loyal Dwight Patrom, age 78, of Austin, passed away March 10, 2026. He was born on March 18, 1947, in Beebe to Clarence Pate Patrom and Maggie Patrom. He attended Oak Church of Christ in El Paso. Dwight worked for Missouri Pacific Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad for thirty-nine years, plus he cattle farmed for many years.
He was a husband, son, dad, Gege and Too-Da. Dwight served on the El Paso Parks & Playground Board and the Grissard Cemetery Board; being one of men that helped build the El Paso Community Center and ballparks. He loved playing baseball and coaching baseball.
Dwight is survived by his wife Debbie of fifty-six years, daughter Sherri, son Kevin (Cindy); grandchildren Tayler (Sarah) Patrom, Kynlee Patrom, Lacey (Austin) Barclay, Whitney (Chaz) Taylor and Ryan (Hannah) Lovelis; 7 greatgrandchildren, Piper, Brody, Nash, Briggs, Crew, Arden and Palmer; and 3 brothers Ronnie (Janie), Harold (Sue), Danny (Kay).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Maggie Patrom, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice and caregivers Dianna, Erica, Crissy and Skyler.
Memorials may be to the El Paso Parks & Playground, 2963 AR-5, El Paso, Arkansas or 16th Section Community Center, 8733 Hwy 319 W, Austin, Arkansas 72007.
Visitation is Friday evening, March 13th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Smith Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W Dewitt Henry, Beebe. The funeral service is Saturday morning, March 14th at 10 a.m., at Smith Westbrook. Burial at Grissard Cemetery in El Paso.
