Lt. Col. Eugene Barnes, (USAF Retired), 73, of Ft. Walton Beach, FL died on December 13, 2016. He was born on August 1, 1943 in Hinsdale, IL to Charles Herbert and Dorothy (Evans) Barnes. Eugene was a Meteorologist in the United States Air Force, a 32nd Degree Mason, Past Worshipful Master at his lodge in Ft. Walton Beach and a practicing Budhist.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Barnes of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; daughter, Sonnet Dashevskaye of Austin, TX and his beloved dog, Jussi Lotus Blossom. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother and a sister.
Private services will be held in Florida.
