Lula Bell Rippberger, 79, of Benton, Arkansas passed away May 26, 2016. She was born August 11, 1936 in Marianna, Arkansas to the late Clifton and Salley Burns Forbes.
Lula Bell retired after serving over 30 years' in housekeeping at the Arkansas Service Center. She loved iris flowers and had some of the most beautiful gardens. She made everyone so comfortable when they came to visit. As soon as company arrived, she would go straight to the kitchen to start serving. She loved taking care of her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Rippberger; parents; granddaughters, Courtney Lane Smart and Caitlyn Lane Smart; and brother, Billy Forbes.
Left to cherish her memories are daughter, Mandy Smart of Benton, Arkansas; sisters, Janice Crews, Shirley Cloud, and Patricia Sledd all of Benton, Arkansas; brothers, Tommy Forbes and wife Norine of Chicago, Illinois; Blackie Forbes and wife Juanita of Paron, Arkansas, and Eddie Joe Forbes and wife Chris of Mt. City, Tennessee; and many other family members and friends who loved Lula Bell and will miss her always.
