Lyda Martha Campbell

Lyda Martha (Crittenden) Campbell, 88, of Little Rock, passed away February 4, 2023, at her home with her loving husband by her side. She was born in Batesville, Arkansas to Marvin and Mabel Bulloch Crittenden.

Lyda graduated from Little Rock Central High School in 1952 and went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Social Work at UALR. She got her Bachelor's Degree of Art at Fayetteville, where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She was a licensed stockbroker and licensed real estate agent, served as a past President of the Medical Auxiliary and was a former board member of Camp Aldersgate. Lyda was an avid tennis player. She loved to sew and was an accomplished seamstress. She loved her Wisteria Cadillac, her iced tea, and all her friends and family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Jim Campbell; son, James Marvin Campbell (Mea Combs); grandson, Lawson Price Campbell; and other family and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Pinecrest Memorial Park followed by a Celebration of Life to honor Lyda.

Donations may be made to the Dr. Leah S. Campbell Scholarship Fund at Hendrix College or the Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church.
