Lyla F. Calkins, 76, of Little Rock passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Monday June 1, 2009. She was a spirit full of smiles and love. Lyla had a big heart for animals and her family. She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Gail Briley and husband, Jim; son, Eric Masters and wife Dee; grandson, Cory Scott and wife Tennille and two great-grandsons, Qua and AJ; granddaughter, Ma?Ressa Hancock and husband Jerrell; grandson, Jeremy Masters; granddaughter Kassie Masters and many more family and friends.
Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers and because of her love of animals the family requests that memorial donations be made to North Little Rock Friends of Animals, P.O.
