Lynda Caroll Williams, 81, of Vilonia, Ark., passed away Sunday, December 28th, 2025, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Conway, Arkansas. She was born October 30, 1944, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Ada Ruth Glover and Emmitt Edward Williams.
After graduating from Lonoke High School in 1962, Lynda enrolled in Baptist Health School of Nursing. Her roommate, Marlene Hall (Teasley), introduced her to her brother, Gary Gene Hall after his discharge from the U. S. Marine Corps in August 1963. Lynda and Gary were married on August 21, 1964, in Lonoke, Arkansas, beginning their life together just outside of St. Louis, Missouri. They welcomed their first child while in Missouri. The promises and opportunities of new employment returned them to Arkansas; they continued to grow their family while residing in Little Rock, Arkansas. Searcy, Arkansas, would become home in 1978. Lynda relocated to Vilonia to care for her husband in his declining health in 2000 and lived there until her passing.
An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in various positions in the church, including Ward Primary President, Ward Relief Society President, Stake Relief Society Counselor, Ward Pianist, and Seminary Teacher. Her gentle humor and strong testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ has influenced generations.
Lynda is survived by two sons, Richard Patrick and wife, Johanna, of Salt Lake City, UT; Robert Lewis and wife, Sara Joyce, of Little Rock, AR; and a daughter, Deborah Jean Landers and husband Nelson Andrew of Vilonia, AR, 10 grandchildren: Jonathan Patrick Hall (Leslie), Christopher David Hall, Tricia Kay Hall, Joseph Hall, Christian Michael Hall (Chelsea), Kaitlyn Marie Belnap (Beau), Ashley Morgan Hall, JR Landers, Hannah Ruth Payne (Andrew), Levi Morgan Landers; and 7 great-grandchildren: Amanda Marie Hall, James Patrick Hall, Lily Belle Hall, Lydia Jane Belnap, Hayden Beau Belnap, Meladee Ruth Payne, and Luke Andrew Payne.
Lynda is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Gene, a son, Sgt. Michael David, her siblings, and her parents.
Visitation begins at 1pm, Wednesday, December 31, at Smith Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe followed by the funeral service, beginning at 2 pm. Interment will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Beebe. Online guestbook at www.smithfamilycares.com
