Lynn Barber

Lynn R. Barber, age 83, of North Little Rock passed away February 4, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Barbara (Broadwater) Barber, 2 children; David Barber and Jill Murdock (Keith), 8 grandchildren; Matt (Amanda) Barber, Tyler (Andrea) Barber, Zachary Barber, Andrew, Abby, and Molly Murdock, Madison Barker (Alex), Mary Ann Abney (Michael); 2 great granddaughters; Kelsey and Riley Barber and a soon to be 3rd great granddaughter, Kinsley Barber. He is also survived by two brothers; Jim and Don Barber and 2 sisters; Louise Joyce and Erma Barnes.
He was a Korean War Army veteran, a member of Graves Memorial Baptist Church for more than 55 years, and a master teacher of calligraphy with work displayed throughout the world. He was a member of the band "The Neighbors" who played at nursing homes around central Arkansas. He was retired from the Federal Reserve Bank in Little Rock and he was a licensed Barber. He was a 27 year lung cancer survivor.
Our husband, Dad, and Pawpaw will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Family meant everything to him and he was especially proud of his grandchildren and great granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Graves Memorial Baptist Church at 4617 Oak Grove Road, NLR, AR 72118.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 7 from 6-8 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home at 1921 Main Street, North Little Rock 72114. The Celebration of Life will be held at Graves Memorial Baptist Church, Wednesday, February 8 at 10:00, 4617 Oak Grove Road, NLR 72118.
