Mae Irene Swim, 68, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. She was born to William and Fannie Mae Nuckolls Swim on December 7, 1954 in Searcy, Arkansas. She was the baby of 4 girls in the family, in which everyone knew she was “daddy’s girl”. Irene experienced a childhood of close sisterhood bonds with her sisters and military life, as her father was an Army Master Sergeant for 32 years. She graduated from North Little Rock High School Class of 1973. After attending business school, she went to work for the Little Rock Police Department for over 20 years.

Irene was very talented in needlepoint work and knitting, often sharing her gifts with others in her life. She will be remembered for her funny personality and her contagious laugh.

Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Peggy Tracy (Phillip) of Jacksonville and Carla Ridings (David) of Lonoke; nieces and nephews Matthew Tracy (Rachel) of Fayetteville, Scott Tracy (Kat) of Little Rock, Neil Tracy (Julie) of Fayetteville, Joe Ridings (Christie) of Lonoke, April Lawson (Cecile) of Missouri, and a host of extended family and friends.

She is predeceased by her parents and sister Linda Marie Swim.

Graveside services will be held at Rest Hills Memorial Park in North Little Rock, Arkansas on Monday, January 30, 2023 at 11:00am.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Arkansas Health Center in Haskell for their care and compassion for “Mae” Irene during her stay.
