Magen Carol Schaub, a devoted nurse, loving mother, and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2026. Born on March 20, 1976, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Magen lived a life characterized by dedication to her family, her faith, and her profession.
Magen earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and served with compassion and leadership as a nurse manager at CHI St. Vincents in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Her professional career was marked by the same warmth and care she shared with those closest to her.
A beloved daughter, mother, and sister, Magen was the heart and soul of her family. She was known for her extraordinary ability to bring loved ones together, transforming ordinary moments into memorable events with her signature invitation line, "Let's Get Together!" Her unwavering commitment to her family was evident in her weekly calls to each of her children—Fletcher Valentine, Macey Schaub, and Christian Schaub—to ensure their well-being and to stay connected. Magen’s phone was almost always in hand, a symbol of her readiness to support and listen at any time.
Magen found great joy and spiritual guidance participating in worship Sunday mornings alongside her daughter at New Life Church in Bryant. Her deep faith was a cornerstone of her life, inspiring her love of reading spiritual books that strengthened her walk with God.
Her interests were as varied as they were genuine. Magen delighted in listening to music, savoring her favorite television shows such as Law and Order and The Golden Girls, and watching sports, where she enthusiastically cheered for the Razorbacks. She cherished trips to the beach and, above all, treasured moments spent with family.
She is survived by her children, Fletcher Valentine, Macey Schaub, and Christian Schaub; her mother, Charlotte Ann Gallo, and her husband Michael; as well as her siblings Kimberly Tannehill and her husband Jason, J.P. Padgett, Samantha Padgett Sanchez, and Angela Padgett. Their lives, along with those of many beloved family members and dear friends, were deeply enriched by Magen’s love and presence.
Magen was preceded in death by her father, Preston Carroll Padgett, and her brother, Cody Bridges.
Friends and family are warmly invited to honor Magen's life during visitation on April 17, 2026, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., both held at Smith Family Funeral Home Benton, located at 322 N Market Street, Benton, Arkansas. Family has requested guests wear happy, colorful, casual clothes for her celebration of life.
Magen Carol Schaub’s legacy is one of steadfast love, devoted faith, and joyful togetherness. She will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
