Maggie Jean Bass Parks, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025, at the age of 93.
Born in Little Rock on November 24, 1931, Maggie was the daughter of J.E. and Mattie Bass. She was a woman of quiet strength, deep conviction, and a heart full of love. Maggie cherished the outdoors and enjoyed working with her hands, often finding joy and peace in the simple beauty of nature. One of her favorite pastimes was bird watching, a reflection of her patient spirit and appreciation for God’s creation.
Maggie had an extensive knowledge of the Bible and a fierce love of the Lord. She believed wholeheartedly in the power of prayer and lived her faith daily through kindness, resilience, and devotion to those she loved. As a single mother, Maggie dedicated herself to raising her only child, Linda, with strength and unwavering love. Her legacy of faith, family, and perseverance lives on through generations.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Keilty; granddaughter, Darla DalSanto; great-grandchildren, Cody McMurry (Courtney) and Marti Pennington (Chris); and great-great-grandchildren, Paisley, Addi, Waylon, Braxton, Searcy, and River. Maggie’s life was a blessing to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her love of God, her family, and the beauty she found in the world around her.
