Major John C. Goff (Ret.), 81, of Little Rock, passed away June 5, 2011. He was born in Gillette, Arkansas, to John G. and Tessie Mae Tucker Goff and was of the Baptist faith.
Major Goff was retired from the U.S. Air Force; he also served in the Navy during World War II and in the Army, where he was a paratrooper and served with the Military Police in Korea. In the Air Force, he served in Japan during the Pueblo Missile crisis. He was a former member of the Scimitar Shrine Temple and Jesters of Little Rock Court 12.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sammie J. Goff; sons Ron Pendleton (Katie) and John David Goff; daughters Dana Loyd and Leslie Goff; eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be Wednesday, June 8, at 3:00 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), officiated by Rev. Jeff Dial. The family will greet friends prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Arkansas, 10411 W. Markham, Ste.130, Little Rock, AR 72205.
