Mamie Wakefield

Mamie Nell "Kay" Lovett Wakefield of North Little Rock passed away on January 12, 2018. She was born in Mt. Vernon, AR to the late William Franklin Lovett, Jr. and Isabell C. Bass Lovett on May 18, 1943. She was a dietician for Presbyterian Village and a deli employee for Wal-Mart. Kay was a member of Ferndale Assembly of God.
Survivors include her sister, Cleta "Sue" Anderson Bierman (Gene); sons, Artie A. Wakefield, Jr (Carla) and Mark Deshon Wakefield; daughters, Carolyn R. Wakefield and Kathy R. Wakefield Vance (Larry); daughter in law, Barbara Jean Wakefield, fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Artie A. Wakefield Sr.; son, Buddy William "Bo" Wakefield; grandson, Justin Ackelson; siblings ,Thelma C. Holmes, Margerette L. Lovett, W.F. Lovett and Cledth Ann Lovett.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:00 PM Thursday , January 18, 2018 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM followed by interment at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
