Manuela Sotelo Escovedo

Manuela “Nan” Sotelo Escovedo, 78, of Sherwood passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023. She was born June 2, 1945 in Big Spring, Texas to Enrique and Maria Inez Sotelo. 

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she volunteered for adoration and retired from Sylvan Hills Elementary school. 

She is survived by her brother Catarino Sotelo; her children Priscilla (Sam)Salinas, Bennett (Teresa) Escovedo, Benjamin (Francie)Escovedo, Trinidad Jr. Escovedo, Jenny Henard, Anita (Rodney) Bennett, Betty (Jim)Barnett, Gloria (Armando) Martinez; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. We also want to give an honorable mention to, Isabel. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years Trinidad Escovedo, son-in-law Wayne Henard and two grandchildren.

A visitation will be held between 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 19, 2023, followed by a rosary service at 7:00 p.m., at Smith- North Little Rock Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will be at Rest Hills Memorial Park. 

Pallbearers will be Amanda Anthony, Angel McCollough, Heather Escovedo-Decker, Reagan Wade, Rachel Henard, Kayla Henard, Alissa Tidwell, Garrett Escovedo, Gabe Escovedo, Isabella Martinez, and Sarah Martinez.
