Marcella Riley Weeks, 95 , of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away Monday, August 7, 2017. She was born February 9, 1922 in Antoine, Arkansas to the late James Willis Riley and Sidney Jones Riley. She was a faithful member of Sylvan Hills Church of Christ for 57 years, where she taught Sunday school for over 40 years. She was the rations supervisor at Camp Robinson during WWII.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Javus S. "Bill" Weeks; her three children, James D. Weeks (Susan) of Sherwood, Judi L. Akin (Randy) of Hensley, and Jeri D. McMullan (Mike) of Little Rock; two grandchildren, Amanda Hargrove (Bradley) of Little Rock and Stephen McMullan (Katy) of New Bern, North Carolina; five great-grandchidren, Reese, Riley, Barnes, Max and Bennet; sister, Sherilyn Denton (Jim) of Arkadelphia; Brother, Neil Riley of Little Rock; and many nieces, nephew, and extended family, that will miss her. She is preceded in death by her brother, Fred Riley and sister, Sue Johnson.
Memorial may be made to Central Arkansas Christian Schools, 1 Windsong Dr, North Little Rock, AR 72113 or Southern Christian Home, 100 W. Harding St, Morrilton, AR 72110.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Sylvan Hills Church of Christ, 117 W Maryland Ave., Sherwood, AR 72120. The visitation will be prior to the service at 10:00 A.M at the church. Private Burial will be at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
