Margaret Chandler Cowart, age 86, of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Glenwood, died Tuesday, May 7, 2013. She was born on June 9, 1926, at Tyronza, Arkansas, the daughter of Roy Chandler and Stella Loraine Gudgel Chandler. On March 15, 1945, she was married to Amos Harold Cowart who preceded her in death on February 19, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Helen Murray; and her three brothers, Malcolm Chandler, Roy Chandler and Harvey Chandler. She retired as a data entry clerk for Parrish Memorial Hospital in Titusville, Florida, where she and her husband resided until the early 1990's, when Amos retired and they moved to Arkansas. She was a Christian in her faith, an excellent cook and seamstress and was an avid reader. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by five sons, Mack Cowart of Clover, South Carolina, Ray Cowart of Kennett, Missouri, Kurt Cowart of Guam, Jody Cowart of New Albany, Indiana and Randy Cowart of Cobden, Illinois; one daughter, Karon Baumann of Ocala, Florida; nineteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; her brothers, Bruce Chandler, Wilburn Chandler, Walter Isbell and Raymond Isbell, her sister, Katherine Laden, all of Steele, Missouri; one brother-in-law, Curtis Cowart of Hope; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 11, 2013, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Margaret's children officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, prior to the services. Interment will be in the Black Springs Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Mack Cowart, Randy Cowart, Jody Cowart, Justin Cowart, Jordan Cowart and Keith Baumann.
