Margaret Ruth Chaney, 64, of Benton, Arkansas went to be with her Lord March 6, 2019. She was born July 3, 1954 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late David and Elsie (Mays) Beard.
Margaret was a committed follower of Christ and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was a loving, dedicated mother who kept her family in church and raised her children well. Margaret worked for the State of Arkansas in home health for over sixteen years. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and crocheting. Margaret's furry companion, Little Bit, was not just a dog but a constant friend. She followed her everywhere she went.
Preceding Margaret in death are her parents; brothers: Gordon Beard and Noel "Sonny" Beard; and sister, Katherine Beard.
She leaves to cherish her memory her two sons: Paul Chaney and Steven Chaney of Benton, Arkansas; two grandchildren: Piper Chaney and Hayden Chaney; three sisters: Linda Sanchez and husband Pete of Benton, Arkansas, Mildred Squires and husband James of Alexander, Arkansas, and Pat Squires and husband Ronnie of Atlanta, Georgia; and a host family members and friends who love Margaret and will miss her always.
Memorial service, officiated by Rev. Mike Titsworth, will be held at 6:00 PM, Thursday, March 14, at Trinity Baptist Church, 702 Church Street, Benton, Arkansas.
