Margaret Ann Glover

Listen to Obituary

Margaret was born on July 8, 1950 in Bakersfield, CA and passed away on October 14, 2025 in Murfreesboro, AR.

For the last month of her life she spent at her sister Norma's home, along with her niece DeWanna, and partner Jimmy. They were there 24 hours a day to give her the best care possible. The rest of us would visit and help whenever needed. She was happy and loved the attention that she was getting.

Her family was by her side at the time Jesus called her home. Though it was not the outcome we had hoped and prayed for, Jesus always knows best! She is no longer suffering. We are positive that family was there to greet her. Especially her only child "Annie."

In her early adult life she was a favorite waitress to many in her hometown of Bakersfield, CA. She was a wonderful cook., she loved to bake pies and other desserts for the restaurants she worked for. She was famous for her fudge and would give to family and friends at Christmas time.

After moving to Arkansas in the early 90s, she worked for John Plyler's Home Center for approximately 18 years, before retiring early to care for her mother.

She enjoyed yard sales and would leave early so she could stop at them before anyone else. Oh, the treasures she would bring home! She would proudly show them to anyone that would drop by and if there was a story behind it, she gladly would include that too. Margaret was the 2nd of five children and the only one with red hair and freckles! Her hair hung well below her waist and was braided most of the time. Everyone knew her by her red hair. She enjoyed cooking, yard sales, and watching the old western movies. She might have watched a movie 10 times, but she would watch it again! She marched to the beat of her drum.

After she became ill and not being able to get out, she looked forward to her partner Jimmy bringing home treasures for her. She is loved by her family and friends and will be missed beyond measure. Margaret was preceded in death by both her parents, Boyd N. and Clemmie M. (Looper) Glover, her only child, Vesta Anne Nichols (1973-1975,) and her brother-in-law, Dave Barron.

Margaret is survived by her sister, Norma Barron of Murfreesboro, brother, Boyd and Katrina Glover of Bakersfield, CA, sister, Velma Gould and Emory Davis of Nashville, AR, brother Melvin and Bonnie Glover of Langley, AR.
