Margaret Machen

Margaret Arlene "Peggie" Machen, 70, of Little Rock, died January 5, 2018. She was born in Hot Springs, AR on August 4, 1947 to William Mills and Jenny Lee (Pope) Murphey. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral and retired after 28 years of service to the Central Arkansas Library System. She graduated from Hall High School Class of 1965, a graduate of University of Arkansas at Little Rock; she also attended University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and Hendrix College.

She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Henry John Hoelzeman and is survived by her husband of thirty-five years, Lewis Machen, of Little Rock; sister, Diane Williamson of Merritt Island, FL; daughters, Jennifer Hoelzeman and fiancé, Mark Roberts of Little Rock, Merritt and partner Sabrina Maham of Hot Springs; granddaughter, Elizabeth Clare Hoelzeman and very special friends, Donna and Howell Medders of Fayetteville.

A Memorial service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with The Very Reverend Dr. Chris Keller, III officiating.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to a favorite charity in Peggie's name. We especially want to thank caregivers Angie Lane and Tabitha Francis for their very special care in the past several years.
