Margaret "Garget" Judy Ann Mack Ward

Margaret "Garget" Judy Ann Ward, age 79, of Dierks, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.

She was born in Hot Springs on October 17, 1944, the daughter of Leonard Mack and Viola Stevens Mack. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmie Terrell Ward; her brother, Jim Mack; her sister, Deloris Mack; and her nephews, Chris Wright and Todd Mack.

Margaret was first an amazing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was also known as an excellent cook, singer, babysitter, and bowler. Everyone who knew Margaret knew that she was sweet and spicy and she loved to joke around, particularly with the Mack boys. She loved fishing, traveling, and caring for others. Margaret always kept a clean house. She was always ready to play a card game. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her two sons, Mike (Lynn) Ward of Dierks and Paul (Julie) Ward of Newhope; her daughter, Karen Ward of Sherwood; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Zach) White, Brittany (Ben) Witherspoon, James McRaven, Jimmie (Lindsey) Ward, Hope Ward, Ashley Sweeden (her fiancé, Ross Lovenstein), and Derrick (Amanda) Sweeden; her great-grandchildren, Addison White, Landry Craven, Ellie Witherspoon; Levi Lovenstein, Sarah Sweeden, Huck Ward and Saylor Ward; her siblings, Jerry (Dee) Mack, Mary Mack, Travis (Theresa) Mack, Dewayne (Janice) Mack, and Dewight (Laura Kay) Mack; and her many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 10:00 AM following the Visitation. 

Interment will be held at Ebenezer Cemetery.
