Margaret Hammons Moseley

Margaret Hammons Moseley went to be with her Lord June 10, 2024.  Margaret was born in Alexandria, Louisiana, July 23, 1946.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Shelby Moseley; two sons:  Jeremy (Danielle) of Jacksonville, Arkansas and Justin (Kari) of Centerton, Arkansas; and six grandchildren:  Shelby Foreman (Ryen), Tanner, Emma, Abigail, Hallie and Lilly Moseley.

Margaret graduated from Louisiana State University at New Orleans (now University of New Orleans) in 1969.  She taught Kindergarten, High School, and Junior College level.  She served as teacher and pastor’s wife for nearly 30 years while her husband, Donald, pastored Sylvan Hills First Baptist Church, Sherwood.  Margaret taught for several years at Abundant Life School, Sherwood.   Margaret used her spiritual gift of teaching in her church, but also loved singing in the choir.  She loved needlework and managed a needlework shop for twelve years, giving her an opportunity to relate to many women in her community.  Margaret had also been on several mission trips to Honduras.

There will be a Celebration of Life service for Margaret at 2:00 PM, with visitation to follow at 3:00 PM, Friday, June 14, 2024 at Baring Cross Baptist Church, Sherwood, Arkansas.
