Margie Coley, 95, of McRae, Arkansas passed away on October 22, 2025. She was born on September 14,1930 to Ramon and Antonia Ruiz in Glenrio, Texas.
Margie was raised in Tucumcari, New Mexico. After knowing him only three weeks, she left home to marry Laudis Coley. Their marriage lasted 67 years.
Ultimately, Laudis brought Margie to his native state of Arkansas where they, along with his parents, built Twin City Truck Stop in Dermott. Margie supported Laudis in all his endeavors which included the move to McRae and the shift from running a business to farming.
She worked as a store clerk for BP Oil for almost 15 years. A few years later, Laudis had a stroke. She spent the next 10 ½ years caring for Laudis, the love of her life, until he died.
Margie was a member of Garner Baptist Church. She loved her church family dearly where she frequently requested, “Honey, give me a hug.”
Margie loved sewing, gardening, and spending time outdoors - especially gazing at the moon. Her most favorite pastime was being with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws, Orville (O.T.) and Ola (Mudis) Coley, her husband, Laudis Coley, her son, Allan Coley, and 9 siblings.
Margie is survived by her daughter, Angella (Brad) Coley, a daughter-in-law, Teresa Coley, sisters, Juanita Gonzalez and Corrine (Felix) Rodriguez, a brother, Louis (Reenie) Ruiz, a brother-in-law, Lindsey Coley, sister-in-law, Lois Jean Coley, grandchildren, Rickey (Misty) Coley, Chelsea (Levi) Garner, Donavan (Shelby) Coley, Morgan (Devin) Coley, Camran (Savannah) Coley, Josh Mason, Garrett (Chasiti) Kayrouz, and a host of great - grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 30, 2025, all at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Burial will be in Weaver Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
