Margie Jones

Margie Jones, 78, of Searcy, Arkansas, was born July 2, 1937, at Worden, Arkansas to K. B. and Sudie (Blount) Pannell, and she died January 4, 2016. She was a member of McRae First Baptist Church, where she actively taught Sunday school. She also worked with Adult Literary Council of White County. Margie worked as an elementary school educator for twenty-nine years. She was a faithful Christian, wife, mother and friend.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years, Joe Merle Jones; her children, Jody (Joe B.) Jones and Tony (Jackie) Jones, both of Searcy, and Kim (David) Galloway of Garner; five grandchildren, Joey Jones, Sara Jones, Josh Galloway, Emily Galloway and Blake Jones; and five great-grandchildren, Jacelyn Jones, Jace Ethan Jones, Jaden Jones, Hollis Titsworth and Blakely Jones.
Memorials may be made to McRae First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 249, McRae, AR 72102, or Literacy Council of White County, 811 S. Main St., Ste. D, Searcy, AR 72143.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2016, at McRae First Baptist Church, with burial in White County Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, a certified Veterans Care provider.
